Proper Winter Tires Size for 2009 Toyota Corolla S?

have 2009 toyota corolla s tire size p205/55r16.
installed michelin xice 2 winter tires size 195-65-15.
question whether proper size tire 2009 toyota corolla s.
spoke dealer , mentioned possible use size.
problem have car doesn't drive straight (it goes left or right slightly) @ various speed 60 k/h or 100k/h or other speed , have hold wheel make sure car goes straight.
went tire store , made sure it's not alignment , saying has nothing balancing tires(don't want rebalance it)
after argument them saying since put 15 inch tires instead of 16 reason car doesn't drive straight.
make sense @ all???
