prefer not commute wherever possible. helps environment more. if 1 can find place of residence close enough work, 1 can walk. practically have under 6 km keep walk below hour each way.

when can use internet connection work, can mean need not commute many days. when must commute, may walk or use roller skates, bike, or commuter bus, depending on distance , conditions. in winter might use skis or ice skates.

difficult situation 2 people in house, both working, in jobs example 40 km apart, 1 of jobs out of city there no public transit.
