Why wont my printer print?

i've heard epson printers, cannot print unless have full cartridges. (with canon printer, can force printer print dry tanks): has longevity of print heads, because damage printer if tries print empty ink tanks.

in meantime, however, try this:

remove empty ink tanks printer. then, turn off printer , wait bit. might shake ink tanks. then, turn on printer , put in tanks in again. might able "fool" printer hour or 2 until notices tanks still dry.

i have epson stylus cx7400 series printer , wont printer un-less have inks. have black ink dont have yellow, magenta, , blue. need printer put paper school wont print. can sum1 , tell me how print without other inks or have go , buy them?
