How dose an aircraft fly up sidedown?

first off, not airplanes can safely. acrobatic planes can. many others can fly that, without right engine, engine starved oil when inverted. bad.

while aircraft optimized work best right side up, fly sort of okay slabs of wood wings (if decently streamlined) long have enough control authority in aerilons , elevator (aka horizontal stablizer).

if wing has angle-of-attack of 5 15 degrees (depending on design), make enough lift hold plane @ manuevering speeds. in high-speed cruise, few degrees in planes. @ landing, higher angle of attack of 20 25 degrees depending on airfoil used.

still true upside down (but don't land way!). position of elevator (that small horizontal wing on tail) determines angle of attack of main wing.

uninverted flight: main wing generates lift equal wieght of aircraft, engine generates thrust equal drag of aircraft. , elevator maintains main wings' angle of attack @ steady angle.

or, more fundamentally: inverted, air takes longer path on top of wing , therefore goes faster. faster air lower pressure air (so sayth bernoulli) , difference between high pressure air below versus lower pressure above provides needed lift.
