Nissan engine vs. honda engine or other import engines in general?

if @ way, 2.5 c25a v6 legends put out 151hp compared ka24de 2.4 inline 4 put out 155hp, or lets compare sr20det 2.0 inline 4 puts out 205. quite difference isnt it. comes down engine design whole, not size of displacement. intake design, exhaust flow, , head efficiency , head flow, compression. na nissan engines used 9.5/1 honda engines pushing 10/1 or lil higher in 90's. plus nissan hasn't designed sports class 1.8 engine since ca18det, still popular , potent engine swaps s13's, ohh, , lets not forget 1800 g18 ancient skyline engine 60 made 96hp, crazy time , size.

i wondering why nissan engine (1.8l) have 122 hp while honda engine (1.8l) have 140 hp , have same mpg? why didnt nissan make more hp out of engine honda did?? why little of hp coming out of nissan engine??
