How do children learn best from their sifu / sensei?

have been teaching adults in martial arts years. in position, priveleged feel, approached schools in area teach groups of children. lessons fun, varied , gt kids it, children need discipline. strict teacher. what's best way this? make fun, music, stories , on? or should make serious off? instructor instill sense of respect , discipline in me if kid, not children same. suggestions?
