Who should be responsible for the repair, Toyota or me?

leased toyota car. in 2004 , 2005, water drip moon roof when rained( 5 x year). since, under warranty had inspected. both times, toyota unable find source. mechanic said "i believe b/c can see water marks unable find leak". 3 years had no leak until june '08. seal came off. brought in non-toyota mechanic. told me toyota should have been more aggressive finding leak , fixed moon roof when first occurred 4 years ago. now, there's rust whole thing should replaced. believed drained has been clogged these years. cost $5000. advised me have toyota fix because fault extensive damage. toyota refused because out of warranty. need opinion. thanks
