96 pontiac grand am loses power?

have bad oxygen sensor. of time when check engine or service engine light comes on means have bad oxygen sensor. , since sensor controls air/fuel mixture, if bad engine run rich or lean , both can make engine sputter (skip , pop) upon take off.

though didn't mention in question, i'm willing bet gas mileage suffering well.

so, replace oxygen sensor.
confident cure problems!
