Is car needed to enter/leave workplace safely (not commute) something employees can deduct (see details)?

entrance/exit (excluding locked, reserved few employees [mainly in front office], or emergencies only) through electric gate has sign saying safe vehicles , unsafe pedestrians. therefore, persons wish commute bus or on foot need use car enter , leave workplace safely. however, person not have drive way home; park on street near workplace , use car in , out of workplace (commuting on foot or bus rest of way). how work taxes? deduct use of car through gate not deduct commute once out gate?
