Help...my printer wont print! Can you help me?

~ have kodak easy share printer 5100. due more ink,,,so put in brand new black , brand new color ink cartridge,,and still says ink empty. have checked , rechecked cable , plug connections,,,also have triple checked ink cartridges installed correctly...and still every time try print, pops smaller screen says ink empty. suggestions???
