Gas Mileage on 2001 mazda 626?

have 2001 mazda 626. read "such great gas mileage." i'd know if i'm supppose putting premium gas or something. has new transmisson, fuel pump, got tune-up, , belts replaced. don't see why don't gas mileage. 205 miles on full tank. right? have tried differrent types of gas , had gage checked. seems fine. i'm running out of ideas.
