What do you think about Singapore artists who achieve success in the international arts arena?

these artists have done singapore proud

i'm not in support of monetary reward. if artist work money, better off working musicians/actors/designer etc movies or other profitable productions.

think monetary aid funding production better because many companies in singapore lacking in funding. awards young artist award given out nac encouragement , form of recognition thier success.

art gives impression of being high class sophisticated thing many young students. people more familiar things cartoon, movies, pop music , tv drama. many of them relate arts visual art , art "cheem" thing cannot understand . many of our appreciation art stops @ superficial "wah! nice."

giving out monetary reward, there many people flocking arts scene in singapore money. parents sign child more classes whether kids or. giving out money, parents see "a future" kids in art. doesn not nurture appreciation art. there enough competition in singapore's society. art not have join in part of competition.

when singaporeans more appreciative of art, monetary award reward artists.

do think should receive monetary awards in same way singapore sportsmen successes in international sporting arena? if yes, why so?
