Printer problems?

printer not print anything, empty pages come out, why? in begining scattered letters , lines apeared on print page, entire pages come out empty printer, why? how can fix it?

had printer 4 years, got new computer , had reinstall everything. worked better perfect on old computer, lost instalation cd , had download driver new computer.. empty pages come out of printer, or pages words scattered on page (ex. word in top lef hand corner, 1 in middle of page, 2 on bottom, opposed whole page of text)
