Car insurance - Driving other cars?

im covered drive other peoples cars. insurance certificate says so. other car have insured?

in ownership of friend, driving 'should' covered. be? aware flash on police records un-insured. old car did , had no problems when explained officer car , covered drive (insurance in post anyway). in uk now, might differ other countries.
