Dell 1110 Laser Printer drivers not seeing printer?

hey people, sorry yet "printer not working" problem, it's truth :)

have dell 1110 laser printer, , dell inspiron 1520 laptop running vista business. printer has worked on before, after installing drivers dell's driver cd. however, reinstalled vista last week. thought although had lost dell's cd, wouold download them.

found drivers, of course, won't see printer, though connected , on. i've tried using shorter usb cable since helps, no go.

ideas? has happened you?
