Art assignment question?

don't know if have have real art or can use illustrations of art. if latter, come exhibition of ways portraits have been made throughout ages-- greek, ideal/roman true portraits; medieval, religious/renaissance real portraits again; baroque, royalty pomp/rococo, pink voluptuous women: impressionism, lovely ladies in past-time activities/modern cezanne or matisse or picasso, etc.
or, take element of art space or line , create ex. illustrates it. or, have ex. divided elements of art.
there million themes: symbols in art, youth, springtime, winter, seasons, emotions, landscapes moods, still life, memento moris, etc.

i have paper art class need come our own art exhibit theme (like portrayl of death) , link different pictures theme. i'm fine finding pictures, can't come theme exhibit. ideas?
