Why do my 2 dogs lick each other?

have 2 dogs english bull terrier , jack russel terrier mix.
got english bull terrier 5 month old pup in january 2008. jack russel terrier mix 11 years old.
both seem lick each others faces , inside each others mouths. aren't nibbling or biting slimy licks :)
both if they're comfortable too.
ebt male , jrt female got spayed pup.
why licking each others faces , or bad?
