engine series ii 3800 v6 supercharged, known l67. engine great motor, known last on 300k miles proper care, , still push grand prix 14 second times in quarter mile (stock). taller gearing comes l67 (2.92:1 vs 3:29:1 in non-supercharged version), can expect 30mpg or better on highway if set cruise @ 75 , leave there. in town, depends on how aggressive drive...i can vary mine 14mpg (delivering pizzas) 22mpg (easy going kid in car seat), in town, in 2000 gtp can puts out 600hp if open bottle , press go hell button.

supercharger allows motor make substantially more power without adding displacement , killing mpg. of course assumes drive nice...it use more gas if have heavy right foot. gearheads, advantage supercharger ease modifications can done add more power.
