Someone suggest a town near Amsterdam where i could rent house at reasonable price & travel to A'dam for work

affordable commute? (by american standards, groningen qualifies - 2 hour drive!)
looking house (ie multiple bedrooms, garden etc - hard price indicated) or appartment 1 or 2 bedrooms? (in case 700-800 euros reasonable).
agree above answer haarlem nice (but cosmopolitan?). try hague (lots af appartments in categories rent there) 50 mins. train. hell - go rotterdam (just on hour train). again: lots of appartments. if 'cosmopolitan' atmosphere isn't important, try purmerend (30 mins bus) or almere (30 mins. train).

some place cosmopolitan , connected amsterdam. rentals withing 700-800 euros/month. , affordable daily commute amsterdam.
