Progressive vs. Toyota body shop.?

got car accident, wasn't fault. other driver's car insurance (progressive) paid fixing car. decided take dealership's body shop. took week , got car handle inside damaged. wasn't ruined in accident or before took toyota dealer. went dealership , told them happened. said, "you think it's our fault?" stated going take pictures , send progressive , have them fix it.

later on progressive called , told them going on , going send out inspect vehicle when bring dealership. did right thing of telling progressive happened? because never been in car accident before.
