What's a good camera to buy for photography?

start advanced point , shoot (also known slr-style camera). these cameras point , shoots, more professional simple pocket-sized digital camera. means able learn aperture, shutter speed, exposure, etc. if choose so, whereas professional slr camera *must* know how things. basically, it's practice camera.

recommend canon s3 or s5 (i owned s3 , absolutely loved it). can s3 between $250-$300 (or cheaper if buy used, prefer myself). s5 is newer model it's bit more expensive.

also, of these kinds of cameras allow exchangeable lenses/filters can learn area of photography well.
