If you live in Canada are you paid monthly just for having children?

lower-income parent receives "canada child tax benefit" (http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/benefits/cctb/menu-e.html). amount received related income , number of children of ages (you more kids under 7, , less once child turns 7). can have 3 kids , neighbour 3 kids won't getting same amount (unless make same salary).

also, of july 2006, there "universal child care benefit" gives parents of children under 7y $100 each month. not dependent on income, given out every child 0-7y.
