Are people getting film photography confused with "lomography" ?

in ways, think "lomography" fad thing because it's generating lot more interest in film. 120 film. that's interested in photography , prefer using film. (i use both digital , film, 90 percent film now. , develop own black , white film , pictures).

i'm seeing kind of disturbing pattern, seems people getting "lomography" confused real film photography. people have used digital cameras have decided try film...but lomography camera (holga, diana, etc.). that's fine, i'm wondering if people first experience film think defects in lomography camera same film cameras. know difference? holga , diana cameras known have light leaks, , problems color fringing , soft focus because of poor quality plastic lens. if has never used film before, , first film camera try holga...will assume film cameras that? they've been told digital "better" film, might think light streaks, vignetting, , soft pictures because it's film camera.

can awesome, razor sharp pictures manual 35mm rangefinder cameras , medium format twin lens reflex cameras. using lomography cameras wouldn't know that.

has else wondered this? "lomography" fad might because generating more interest in film, , increasing demand 120 film in particular. in long run, hurt film photography because people might confuse lomography real film photography?

when fad dies down (which fads do), people lose interest in film because think pictures film lomography pictures?
