Does anyone have any experience boating with dogs?

summer upon , boating season.

have 12 week old pup pretty crate trained @ point.

has been on boat in crate several times go our marina our island cottage (about 5 minute boat ride)

having abit of dilemna in trying figure out pup while boating. boat 3 6 hours @ time. not want pup confined in crate during time on boat. i've been doing leaving him in crate @ cottage few hours

while still young he's housetraining still unpredictable, though have more successes failures these daysl

considering using puppy pads while on boat concerned screw crate training. i'm quite against puppy pads home training.
