What if I don't file my tax returns properly?

have 2 questions, here first 1
made $1500.00 , since worked few hours, didn't income tax deducted, employment insurance. in school, parents paid tuition , ones claiming it. i'm pretty sure won't getting money or have pay government.
having hard time filling out tax returns, can send in incomplete or improperly done, because have no idea how it, neither parents. got accountant last year , cost me $35.00.
happens if file them improperly?

i've been receiving these strange cheques government $80.00. got twice since last tax return. no not tax return, received cheque too. in university , hold part time job. money be?
