SAT II: US History?

took sat ii in history, not sure recommend others doing same thing... not did excellently in regular history school went had rigorous u.s history program regardless if took ap class or not. also, father educated , lot of knew in history stuff taught me long before started taking history. had background begin with.
check history teachers, ask ap u.s history teacher, both able advise you. consider background, experience have history outside of school? take practice tests, test can prepare doesn't seem change year year.
lastly, make sure consider before take it, believe now, scores sent universities whether request them or not.

would suggest taking sat ii: history exam without taking ap us? have had high in regular history, , wondering if should..?
