How much do I charge for Photography?

there lot of costs have compensate when creating price list. since weddings, let me break down price lists , you'll able figure out other types of photography plan.

first of all, offer wedding clients package of sort. cheaper package, less it. so, let's break down popular package of mine: chalcedony collection. comes 6 hours of coverage, digital preview album, 16x20, few 8x10, couple 5x7, wallets , large album.

so, how know charge package? first thing figure out how many total images being printed (in case close 50 total). every image print 8x10, if have cut 5x7s down once them in. so, go on cost 50 8x10s (about $70). of course yare getting preview album , cost around $70 that. , have figure out price of album , price of each individual matte (assuming don't have in stock). so, after have costs down, start price. so, let's consumption costs $400. doesn't photographer good. he/she needs charge lil more make actual profit off of this. mark individual costs 150%. seems lot, in end, isn't. $1.86 print $4.00

then, figure in time. i'm going devoting 6 hours couple. that's time away wife, away friends, away whatever in life. how cost take away of that. me, figure $50 / hr. (plus have training, experience , certifications allow me charge more). have total tally of $700

of course, figure in equiment prices. pricing include pay additional equipment. so, lets set aside $50 / wedding new equipment costs , repairs.

also, set additional costs aside cover organization fees, training, etc. so, that's $50 / wedding.

of course, me shooting digial. if shooting film, have concider cost of development pricing also.
