How can you make a simple ancient egyptian boat?

need:
20 long art straws
12 medium length art straws
8 short art straws
wool, string or raffia



need work – 1 person holding straws , other tying them up.

begin boat cut 3 lengths of string 30 cm long.

tie short art straws tightly in middle , @ both ends.

arrange medium length art straws around outside of short bundle.

cut 5 lengths of string , tie middle tightly. use other lengths tie ends , place short straws end.

next arrange long art straws around bundle, did before.

cut 5 lengths of string , tie long art straws last time. remember pull string tight.

make ends turn up, cut length of string longer art straws. push underneath each of strings tie straw shown in diagram.

repeat on other side.

tie ends together, pulling hard ends of boat pulled inwards.

congratulations- finished boat!
