sugars , other carbs in fruits , vegetables different forms of carbs, , carbs in other foods they're absorbed differently due fiber or compounds in foods.

foods have lot of sugar or carbs, glycemic load different because absorbed faster or slower than, say, refined white sugar (which absorbed differently high fructose corn syrup or glucose.)

whole foods tend better because vitamins, minerals, fiber, fatty acids, kinds of stuff don't find in highly refined foods. rule, carbs fruits or vegetables preferable refined sources of calories because of nutrients along carbs.
