What do you do when you are depressed about your circumstances that seem beyond your control?

ok little situation. in abusive marriage 14 years.(and yes know thats dumb) threw him out , spent next 3-4 years alone trying support myself , kids without other financial support lets hounds still on financially. have met , married wonderful man finances still mess. have health issues sort of consume life . today went dentist , tellling me insurance somehow have come $2,000 in order rid of 3 painful teeth , partial plate. need periodontics?? ok anyhow credit useless(horrible credit score) do , how not depressed??
