Should History be considered Arts/Humanities, or Social Science?

when began college, majoring in history @ michigan state university, history department fell in college of arts , letters (humanities), time graduated, admin had decided move college of social sciences. history social science, or art and/or humanity? matter?

feel move social science puts more emphasis on things feel border close anthropology considered pure history (like comparative history, feel stupidest, vague pursuit of history, , more along lines of sociology/anthropology/ drawing random conclusions , trying make them make sense).
