How do i configure my old printer so my new Macbook can use it properly?

old printer hp 845c , new macbook.... , printer won't job right.

i've added it, when print word document, printer prints part of page, part of page on piece of paper. it's complete waste of ink , paper since print bulk.

clicked letter size right. still won't print properly... love buy new printer have make @ moment. please help.
