What area of San Diego really has it all? Schools, safe neighborhoods, short commute to 32nd street naval base?

looking spend no more 300k. , yes, can done in today's market. have 3 children. far schools go, i've heard poway "award winning" don't think that's absolutely necessary. want fun , safe learning environment. we're going public school route. considering eastlake i've heard negative things - plus foreclosures may dragging area down bit. don't mind renting @ first, either. need relatively close (15 min. commute) both naval school , base on 32nd st. last, need me. nice church lots of programs. shopping area, coffee, postal service, pharmacy, wine/cheese shoppes, plus fun & safe place hang out/take strolls/window shop. not mention nice place occasional (and necessary) cocktail.
