Can someone please help me with a printer problem I am having?

printer working fine yesterday. go turn on print evening , won't turn on , i'm not pc savy know go check printer status , if i'm able fix problem. printer little on year old. pc working fine. have microsoft windows vista program, gateway pc , hp photosmart printer. how printer online? i've checked connections. there way "reboot" printer? thank help. appreciate it.
