if sure want aircraft mechanic yes have go visit air force recruiter , not let him put in "general area" mean can stick anywhere need you. when see recruiter tell him right off bat want aircraft mechanic , want papers signed after done basic go tech school aircraft mechanic , nothing else. can done because friend's husband has done it. may take longer go through basic won't going through crap husbands going trough right now. recruiter put him in general area , went in aircraft mechanic told before left basic couldn't mechanic because of eyesight , right before graduate basic meteorologist broke foot , didn't graduate in time. school started , has no choices left , being forced security forces if foot heals in time. can happen if let them put in general area. don't believe recruiter tells you. husbands told him going in consider waiver , disqualify him jobs aircraft mechanic not being 1 of them being in security forces was. husband in if foot heals in time can finish last week of basic out. bottom line recruiters in , in quick. make sure have papers signed in aircraft mechanic if means have wait year through basic , go tech schooling happier in long run.
