Car Battery Works, but wont send out current to rest of car.?

have '95 oldsmobile cutlass supreme, , installed aftermarket car radio , audio system. when turn on car's power, wont turn on lighting or radio, ding because key in ignition. have needed installed of radio itself, , have couple wires plugged old factory radio, pink wire , dark green wire. wondering if wires have current of electricity, , if has open current somewhere, , that's why wont power up? thing electrical changed radio. please help.
