short answer prop allow engine reach, engine manufactures recommended wide open throttle rpm boat carrying it's normal load .
think in these terms 200 hp outboard correct prop on 19 foot runabout give 50 60mph true depending on how it's loaded . put same engine , prop on 30 foot boat , you'd around 25 mph

i have bay-liner 2004 219 deck boat. want stainless steel prop. size should get? tried 4 blade , didn't it. 3 blade stainless prop. wondering if out there has 219 deck boat , prop have or like.
