when drive in automatic mode, @ tachometer next speedometer.
should have numbers 1-8 or 1-9 or 1-10.
rpm. in automatic mode, should switch gears around 3 or 3000rpm.

manual mode, can choode when shift gears.
best gas mileage shift @ 3000rpm.
quicker acceleration shift @ 5500rpm.

+ shifting up, when accelerating.
- shifting down, when slow down 2000rpm or less.

using manual mode use more gas.

my mazda 3 has manual function , has + , -
how use it, , when???

i've had car 2 years , i've never used this.
