2007 Nissan Versa brakes squealing?

bought 2007 nissan versa on june 23, 2008. beginning, brakes squealing. took car dealership 3 times before first car payment due. resurfaced brakes, cleaned them, turned rotors , replaced brake pads. when tried arrange visit number 4, told there nothing else me. told cars manufactured since 2004 have metallic brakes , cause of problem. true? find hard believe every car since 2004 has brakes squeal. drive beside other cars , brakes don't squeal. each stop, when apply brakes, midway through braking process squealing starts , doesn't end until stop complete. nissan doing consumers? can't imagine living noise 5 years.
