Using '97 Subaru Ej22 to replace '90 EJ22?

hi,
have vehicle '90 subaru ej22 engine in it.

have access low mileage '97 ej22 engine make swap, not sure of complications.

want '97 long block engine, not interested in upgrading wiring, etc., make odb-ii.

believe '97 interference engine, replace timing belt.

know have exhaust port issue because '90 has dual port exhaust, while '97 has single port exhaust.

able use '90 intake manifold on '97 engine?

aware of other complications might run [blocking off odb-ii stuff, etc]?
