Toyota corolla for rental car- please help!?

have toyota corolla rental car while mine being repaired after got rear ended in accident. if wasn't stressed enough gave me 2008 toyota corolla rental.

i'm confused lights. yesterday went park somewhere , has little red light on dash indicating on im guessing. how ever, went park few minutes , turned them off position, still on! don't know if theres have switched on t hey won't shut off when car on or what.

when turned car off, looks did go off. i'm confused. also, has lights on on dash. guy told me put air in tires , light go off didnt , says "maint req" or something.

of given me car without several lights on on dash!

can't wait car lets that, doing ok driving 1 didnt show me features on 1 know heck doing.
