I can't get my printer online?

having lot of trouble printer- kept saying there no paper when there , things keep ink cartridge in place broken , cartridges couldn't move supposed to. got fixed, , plugged computer registers printer plugged in , printer on. when plugged in , tried print said printer offline. tried control panel> printers> right click> set printer online, it's acting might have done nothing. should do? if have uninstall printer , reinstall it, how should (i don't have disk)?
