Are there any advantages to Metallic Paint over normal car paint? ?

there's no practical advantage having metallic paint finish on car, other making pretty... (but depends on paint colour anyway)! if metallic paint can harder match should need re-paint panel of car , light scratches won't polish out solid paint colours. also, if you're buying new car , opting matalic paint cost .

is more durable or less prone rusting?
less prone scratching?

other adding sheen car, advantage or disadvantage having metallic paint on normal car paint?
