Suggestions for poetry that is insightful/philisophical, easy for a poetry novice to understand?


if you're going jump eliot, try prufrock poem, or else "ts eliot's book of practical cats." suggest robert frost , carl sandburg if - both write on themes familiar citizens of us. start frost's "stopping woods on snowy evening" , sandburg's "chicago," more evocative philosophical. lots darker, try "richard cory" edward arlington robinson.

poet read dorothy parker. find work humorous, yet interesting. e.e. cummings writes interesting stuff, too. finally, recommend ogden nash think brevity soul of wit.

i considering know poets robert frost, t.s. elliot, w.b. yeats, emerson , thoreau not familiar poetry styles/most common themes.
