I need help/advice/tips about moving to a new state.?

not clear question. if american citizen, doesn't need permission move anywhere chooses.

in united states, may move anywhere 1 state another, live, work, pay taxes, say. nothing required except move.

exception if person under legal restriction travel (on probation or parole; under court order, or out on bail offense.) long adult (over 18) , there should no problem.

change residency, merely establishes domicile (home) in new state. may have apply new driver's license, re-register automobile, file proof of insurance auto liability, file change-of-address foms post office mail forwarded new home, sort of thing. not need permanent resident of state job.he keep same social security number, , report income new state (assuming state has state income tax . both california , oregon have state personal income tax).

has file change of address credit cards, etc. may have prove has job apartment. @ least , must able afford rental deposit , security deposit place live. once has address, can apply savings or checking accounts bank, new checks, establish credit, etc. may have provide credit reference utilities such gas & electricity , water, telephone, cable tv, etc. .

states require person must resident of state short period register vote in state (usually thirty days @ minimum.) can register vote citizen in state, county , city elections, , officially citizen of oregon. if registers vote in oregon registrar automatically sends note california cancel registration voter in california. when applies new oregon driver's license, has turn in old california license; same auto registration new oregon license plates. has notify auto insurance company of change oregon well.

since male on 18, people forget must file change of address form selective service when changes address, though not have draft @ time. gets change of address form @ post office.

my boyfriend moving california oregon can live together. there must before leaves? when gets here have before getting job? have citizen of state work/pay taxes in it? other general advice appreciated.
