Working At A Movie Theater: What Are The Hours & Pay?
i've worked @ 3 different movie theaters in years past.
1 usher (amc theaters), 1 projectionist/usher (o'neil theaters), , 1 customer service/cashier/food service/usher all-in-one.
hours retail - want available open close on days, know you're available. if don't have time work on days, want complete time open them. start off part-time.
amc theaters started me off @ $5.15 hour in 1999. think minimum wage $5.85 hour in georgia...it varies state. expensive places live...some minimum wage can $8 or $10 hour. worked hours ranging 10am in morning until late 12:30 , 1a.m. in morning. part-time shifts 6 hours, though 8. hours 6pm 1a.m. usher position amc...they sucked. sweeping condoms , kinds of filth off floor. it's disgusting. janitor pays more, , that's is.
started off @ $5.25 projectionist (my brother manager , got me on there) o'neil theaters around 2000. job $10/hr. worth of work...but in high school job , above job, money helpful , part-time didn't matter me. worked 12pm 12:30a.m. shifts on saturdays , sundays, , 6pm 12a.m. after school on few weekdays.
worked @ independent movie theater started off @ $5.75 hour. customer service/cashier/concessions/usher. $12 hour worth of work, , stayed 10 months.
funnily enough, started @ office depot store @ $8 bucks hour 10 months of cashier experience movie theater. movie theaters aren't great , pay little can. try retail...you'll make little more , won't annoying , disgusting. you'll 15 30 hours max...more 20 or 25 weeks.
hey guys,
i'm looking pick cash , want work @ movie theater since love movies , being in movie theater! shifts , pay?
