2003 Pontiac Grand AM GT signal lights will not work unless I turn on my hazard lights?

have 2003 pontiac grand gt. signal lights sudden stop working. 1 day had pull on side of street , turned hazard lights on. had them on 15 minutes. surprise, signal lights worked fine. got in car next day , signal lights did not work again. turned hazard light on 15 minutes , worked. from? why won’t signal lights work unless turn on hazard lights? 1 more thing, signal lights work 30 minutes. can me solve problem? thank you.
