Mazda Miata window motor?

have broken tooth in window motor assembly. common , expensive problem. why lots of miata lovers steer clear of power windows. when make motors , gears plastic...they sorta designed break , shop fix issue...sorry why go power go zoom zoom???

my 99 mazda miata driver side window not go down way. goes down few inches , gets stuck. goes no problem goes down aprox 5 inches.
told buy new motor , regulator. mechanic tried grease did not work.
