Thinking about painting a crib..would this be dangerous??

"natural" or "zero voc" paint , safer. paint lets off chemicals years after has dried. these types of paints not.

make sure sand down original paint/varnish adhesion new paint. don't want chip , have new baby eating paint chips!!!

my older daughter 3...she chewed paint off of original crib..and paint crib darker color cover these spots , match new babies bed room set..
painting toxic or dangerous in way new baby??
