Photography help!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?

hi there!

well, i've decided take photography hobby , not use 5mp canon sd400 family, girlfriend, , holiday pictures. wonder why photographers carry nice big cameras around, thought might give try.

want create photos create memories last forever.

i've looked round net, there consider, don't know start or how start. want able take nice pictures of people, landscapes , objects,; , have option of being bit creative.

looking slr camera has range of manual settings, takes great photos , relatively easy complete beginner use. please recommend camera can take raw photos, including lenses? because have seen, there available , don't have clue lenses or not, or do. i've seen nikon d40, not sure i'd want, or if these suitable. lens? heard there swappable lens.

also, if take high quality photos, options have printing? photoshop them? take them print shop?
